‘Setayesh 3’ editing kicks off

The editing stage for the third sequel of ‘Setayesh’ series has kicked off.

Directed by Saeed Soltani, the editing of the series is currently being fulfilled.

‘Setayesh’ is a story about a man named Taher who has just finished two years of military service, defending Iran against Saddam Hussein's war of aggression.

His friend, who has deserted the frontline, wants Taher to help smuggle him out of the country. Despite his bitter judgment, and at the insistence of his friend's sister, Setayesh, he agrees.

Taher and Setayesh eventually grow fond of each other and make plans to marry. But a tragedy causes a great gap between their families that threatens to keep the two from ever finding happiness together.

Written by Saeed Motallebi, the first two seasons of ‘Setayesh’ are set in early 1980s Iran with the story continuing until the present day.

The third season will be a prequel to the first and second seasons, focusing on the relationships between the characters of the first two seasons.

The series co-stars Mehdi Pakdel, Narges Mohammadi, Daryoush Arjmand, Gohar Kheirandish, Fariba Naderi, Mahmoud Azizi, Zahra Saeedi, Mehdi Solouki, and the late Jamshid Mashayekhi.
